Questions from Sela
Why Sela sometimes asks you one short question in the dashboard or the app, who is asked what and how often, and what happens to your answer.
Last updated: 2026-11-01
Now and then Sela asks you one short question, in a small card in the corner of the dashboard or a sheet in the mobile app. It takes about ten seconds: tap an answer, add a few words if you want, done. The Sela team reads every answer and uses them to decide what to fix and build next.
What you might be asked#
Each question comes from something that just happened in your workspace, so it is about your own work, not a generic form:
| When | Who | The question |
|---|---|---|
| You turned off the AI | The person who switched it off | What made you switch it off? |
| Your AI replied to customers often this week | Anyone on the team | Did its replies sound like your business? |
| Your team stepped in after the AI's replies many times this week | Anyone on the team | What was the AI missing most? |
| Your plan renews within two weeks, or every few months | Owners and admins only | How would you feel if you could no longer use Sela, and do you plan to renew? |
| You have used the mobile app on several days | App users | How easy is it to run your work from the app? |
Most answers are one tap. Some answers lead to an optional follow-up, such as "What did it get wrong?". You can always skip it.
How often#
- At most one question every 14 days per person, whether you answered it or closed it.
- Nobody is asked in their first two weeks, or before they have used Sela on at least two days in the last two weeks.
- One new question per workspace per day, so your whole team is not asked at once.
- Close a question twice in a row and that question stays away for 90 days.
- A question never appears on sign-in, during onboarding or billing, while you type, while a dialog is open, or inside a conversation in the app. It waits until you have been in Sela for half a minute and the screen is quiet.
Tap Later or the close button to dismiss a question. Someone signed in as another person, such as Sela support helping you, is never asked.
What happens to your answer#
- The Sela team sees your answer, your name and your workspace. Your customers never see it, and it is not shown to other people in your workspace.
- If you write a few words, Sela's AI adds a short English summary and a topic so the team can read answers quickly. This uses no credits from your workspace.
- When the team acts on what you said, the reply appears the next time you open Sela, under You told us, with your own words above it.
- Answers are Sela's product research, so they are not part of a workspace export. They are deleted with your workspace. See Security and privacy.
Nothing you answer changes your plan, your price or your AI. If something needs a real conversation, the team contacts you directly.
