The Sela partner program pays agencies, consultants and creators a commission when a business they refer becomes a paying customer. There is no customer-to-customer reward: the only referral mechanism is a partner code.

How the program pays#

What earns commission: the platform plan, extra seats, the AI add-on and credit blocks, storage packs, automation run packs, and prorated changes (net of any reductions).

What does not: wallet top-ups (AI and WhatsApp), provider and Meta charges, taxes, and human services such as setup and care.

Each commission entry moves through the statuses provisional, pending, payable and paid. An entry can also be reversed by Sela.

Apply#

1. Open the Partners page on the Sela website.
2. Fill in the application: your name, email, optional company, a description of your audience (10 to 2,000 characters) and how you want to be paid (2 to 1,000 characters).
3. Submit. You receive an acknowledgement by email.
4. Sela reviews applications by hand and contacts you with the decision.

Applications are limited to 3 per IP address per day and 1 per email address per day.

Your referral link#

Approved partners get a code. Your link looks like usesela.com/r/YOURCODE. Codes are 4 to 12 letters and digits.

1. A visitor opens your link. Sela remembers your code in a browser cookie for 90 days.
2. The visitor is sent to a Sela page such as the home, pricing, booking or partners page.
3. When they later create a workspace on the same browser, your code is attached to it. The code is signed by the server and never exposed to page scripts.
4. When the business makes its first payment inside the attribution window, commissions start.

Statements and payouts#

Sela emails you a monthly commission statement as a PDF. The agency partner portal monitors client organizations; it does not show a commission ledger or replace your monthly statement. Payouts are made monthly for balances that have cleared the 60-day hold and reached $25.

Agency partner portal#

The agency partner program is the second tier. Approved agency partners can monitor and manage organizations attributed to their partnership. Referral partners do not receive client management access. The third tier, reseller, is not available yet.

1. Ask Sela to enable agency access for your signed-in account. Applying or having a referral code does not grant access by itself.
2. Open Partner portal from your profile menu, or go to /partner-portal. The menu link appears only for the account linked to an active agency partnership with portal access enabled. It is hidden during client management sessions. You can use the portal without creating your own workspace.
3. Review your attributed organizations. Each row shows the plan, subscription status, expiry, seats and AI credit usage when available. Branches that share billing with a business account show that the plan and usage are shared.
4. Use Search loaded organizations to filter the rows already loaded. Select Load more to retrieve another page.
5. Use Copy link to share your referral link. New workspaces created through it appear in your client list. Ask Sela to attribute a missed organization.

Manage a client workspace#

Select Manage on behalf, enter a reason, and choose Enter workspace. This switches the browser to a temporary administrator session for that organization while keeping your original login available. Exit impersonation returns you to that login. You manage the workspace through its usual screens and settings. Account-wide business settings and switching to other branches are unavailable during this session.

Sela records the partner, organization, reason and session. The temporary management account does not consume a paid team seat or receive automatic conversation assignments. Customer subscription, organization lifecycle and read-only restrictions still apply. Some team screens may show the temporary administrator while the session is open.

The portal also lists your ten most recent management sessions and their reasons. Select End session to revoke an open session from the portal.

The highlighted fingerprint control in the sidebar identifies a management session. Select it to see the organization, expiry time and Exit impersonation. On mobile, open the workspace menu to find these controls. The indicator does not add a strip above the page. If the session expires or access changes, the recovery screen also offers Exit impersonation. If your original sign-in is unavailable, sign in again. Access expires after 30 minutes. Exiting, signing out from the profile menu or an inactivity logout removes the temporary team records and access. Sela deletes the temporary authentication account and its organization membership as part of cleanup, retrying automatically if the provider is unavailable. Signing out of management preserves your original login.

The Team page shows the organization's real members during management access. The temporary administrator may also appear, but it is excluded from paid seat usage.

Suspending the partnership, removing agency access or changing the linked partner account invalidates management access. Client data remains limited to organizations attributed to that partnership.

You can manage a workspace whose paid team seats are full; the temporary administrator does not increase paid seat usage. A separate workspace membership capacity can prevent a new management session. Contact Sela support if that message appears or management access cannot be provisioned. If you reach the management session limit, end an existing session or wait a minute before trying again.

Program rules#

The following end the partnership and forfeit unpaid balances: referring yourself, sending unsolicited messages, aggregating coupons, and paid search ads on the Sela brand name. Read the partner terms before you promote.

Arqam and WhatsApp marketing#

"Arqam" appears in Sela in two unrelated ways, and neither is part of the partner program.

• Arqam marketing environment. Workspaces linked to Arqam get a "WhatsApp marketing" module in the sidebar and a 7-day Starter trial. An earlier Arqam trial prevents a second trial on the same account.
• Arqam WhatsApp signup. An early-access way to connect WhatsApp through Meta's embedded signup with partner providers. It needs to be enabled for your workspace by Sela, and it is limited to signup, capability checks and a test message.
